The B minor Mass is arguably Bach’s greatest and most celebrated single work. Within the structure of the Latin mass he sought to encompass every musical style and idiom available to him. The result is an unsurpassed masterpiece of unparalleled beauty and drama. It is also the ultimate interpretative challenge for all Bach performers. Amici Voices bring their distinctive one-voice- per-part formation to this “towering summit of Western music” and are joined by the period instrumentalists of Amici Baroque Players led by Miles Golding.
